Citric Acetate

Citric Acetate #1

Hello and welcome, all you net-denizens, to the first installment of Citric Acetate! Every-so-often we take a look into the collection of a ravenous music fan and pick three of his dustiest, but well-worn albums from deep in his collection. Who is this nutcase and why do you care? Good question, but you could have been a bit nicer about the phrasing, jerk. The author is one Ben E. Volent (author of the gonzo-introspective blog “Striving for Adequacy”) life-long musician with a 10,500 song strong collection. Ben’s appetite is never sated, as he’s never seen without headphones and can oft be found humming or singing whatever melody caught his attention today. This kid is serious about music, all kinds, so have no fear, as he takes you to weird places that you might have been or just need to visit because he says so. The focus of this column will not only be to rediscover a few over looked albums, but to also explore albums with outstanding cover art. Without further ado, let’s see what Ben’s got for us this week after the break.
