Stomp The Pedal

French animator, comic artist and illustrator, Ronald Grandpey has created a character that I believe is called P.E.E.P.S. He is interesting little fellow that apparently enjoys Chicago Hip Hop. The world premiere of "Stomp The Pedal" took place in Barcelona, Spain recently (May 23, 2009), during a small illustration/comics festival. This is the latest in a series of videos featuring this character. What is fascinating is that Ronald details the entire process here via flickr. It is amazing what can be done with a pencil and a thousand sheets of paper.

The second album from Yea Big & Kid Static, The Future's Looking Grim is now available.

Misty Rainwater-Lites Odd Years (Kendra Steiner Press, KSE# 130, March 2009)

As I witness first hand the struggles and hardship of a Nation and the constant corruption of a culture, I am reminded of the importance of the writer in our society. Writers are the ones that directly and clearly (sometimes not so clearly) record the story of the world and its people. Even in fiction there are truths, period markers, and identities of generations. It is a vital documentation that generations to come will know and value. In her latest collection of poems Misti Rainwater-Lites takes this concept and pushes it to its farthest limits.
