Pilcrow Preview

One of the most enjoyable literary events in Chicago is the annual Pilcrow Lit Fest. For its second year the festival will expand for a full week of action-packed literary events. Founded by Amy Guth, Pilcrow is set to feature authors, writers, poets, librarians, booksellers, and publishers from around the country together in support of small presses and independent media through small workshops, panel discussions, lectures and author readings in Chicago.

This year Orange Alert is actually kicking off the festival with a reading at The Whistler on the 17th (this Sunday!), which will be followed by a kick-off celebration at Matilda's. We are also participating in Opium's Literary Death Match on Saturday May 23rd at Viaduct Theater. Please check out all of the wonderful events taking place this week.
