Next Analog Broadcast by Charly Fasano

In Next Analog Broadcast, Charly Fasano finds art in the simple, subtle movement of life. He reminds us that it is okay to document the moments of your life that are not as monumental, heart-breaking, joyous, transformational, etc. Fasano describes his desire to hit the snooze button, a dingy hotel room from the inside out, street scenes, where buys soda, and how bugs and rodents move through his day. These are simple subjects, observations of the everyday, but Fasano is able describe what he sees in way that draws you in and makes you care.

You will find yourself relating to his tales, and my favorite example comes early on in "Manual". He is throwing out one line description of his life in the eighties. He was young and the way he captures that extreme awareness of youth is remarkable.
