Fresh Squeezed: Brian Griffith

Chicago's Brian Griffith is a man of many names and of many sounds. The video above shows him creating live beats with Natalie Chami, and when they perform together they go by the name l'éternèbre. I love to watch them create, but my favorite project of Brian's is his solo creations as Grey Ghost. His melodies and beats are beautiful and peaceful.

He just released a new tape called Songs To Wake Up To on the local label Plustapes. The tape features 6 tracks (three on each side), and includes the track "Hot Mess" which is featured in the video below. Brian is also a member of the band Very Truly Yours. He is one of the most inventive and talented musicians in Chicago.
