Fresh Squeezed: Lali Puna

Last week Morr Music released the first album of new material from Munich's Lali Puna in over five years. To celebrate this release the put out the wonderfully animated video for the track "That Day," directed by Yu Sato. I probably don't have to tell you, but Lali Puna was an instrumental part of musical landscape for modern, experimentally minded pop music in the early 2000's. The band has had a tremendous career and now are just adding to their success.

Our Inventions features contributions from Valerie Trebeljahr and members of The Notwist and Tied & Tickled Trio. There's also a special appearance by none other than Yellow Magic Orchestra's Yukihiro Takahashi. The album truly is a complete listening experience, something that can be rare these days. These veterans prove that the album is not dead, and Lali Puna still has something to say.
