Charlie Alex March "Home/Hidden" (Lo Recordings, Feb 2010)

There is a beauty and elegance to the music of Charlie Alex March. On his debut full-length album, Home/Hidden, he weaves complex and inviting webs of electronics that range from the psychosis of Aphex twin to the beauty and rhythm of Boards of Canada. He creates a near dream state as these tracks float along. However, he also has the unpredictability of a dream as he creates an album that will linger and haunt you if you let it.

With tracks like, "Francisca's Theme" and "Clouds Over You Again", March guides you a world built on live instruments and electronic that pulse and search and build. Four years in the making, Home/Hidden is an album crafted with care. It is the perfect backdrop while you work, think, or create. It also continues Charlie’s association with Sean O’Hagan and Dominic Murcott of the High Llamas (string arrangements and vibraphone respectively) and also features the talents of Andy Ramsay of Stereolab, on drums, Jo Apps on vocals and Gabriel from Metronomy playing bass guitar.

This track is not on the album, but is a very cool video from Charlie Alex March and directed by Mat Redvers.
