Luke Chuech sat back one day and wondered what it would like if his clever and creative illustrations suddenly morphed into psuedo-power rangers. The result is present by INTHEYELLOW and is called POWER RABBOTTO. This is part of a series they are calling "Kaiju for Grownups". Inspired by Japanese "Kaiju" toys, (monster toys as typified by Godzilla, Mecha Godzilla, etc.) "Kaiju for Grownups" is a series that invited an impressive list of "pop surrealist" artists to create their own interpretation of "Kaiju". Featured artists include Joe Ledbetter, Frank Kozik, Tim Biskup, and more. The RED Edition is available now, but is limited to 100.

Lee Kelly is something of a jack-of-all-trades, she promtes bands, writes, creates crossword puzzles of The L Magazine, and she also creates incredible concert posters. This past week she sent me her latest creation and I just had to share it. Here is the note that accompanied it: "believe it or not created from scratch....crushed thin strip magnets in a coffee blender then photographed underneath a sheet of raised acetate over the main sketch...the rest is laboriously created photoshop faux 3D detail....the scratches, the curvature of the plastic, the weathering of the board etc. (cartoons drawn in illustrator.) the ‘hair-do’ references are also very specific."
