Nedry "Condors" (Monotreme Records, April 20th)

"A42" If the only knock folks can throw at Nedry is that they sound too much like late '90's trip-hop... than there really isn't a downside.

"Apples & Pears" Ayu Okakita has the voice of angel that has fallen from grace and landed in a smoky London nightclub.

"Four Layers of Pink" Matt Parker and Chris Amblin bring the atmospherics on this 90 second track with many more than four layers.

"Squid Cat Battle" I'm not sure what a battle between a squid and a cat would look like or is it a hybrid animal called "Squid Cat". You know like "CatDog".

"Scattered" All instrumental and filled with dark, think electro beats, "Scattered" is a bass tester.

"Condors" Ayu does her best Bjork impression on this track, but it is on top of a more organic loop of congas and looping drum 'n bass. Beautiful.

"Swan Ocean" Breathe and exciting, this track has me drifting on the ocean. It's an ocean with digital wave and naughty mermaids.

"Where The Dead Birds Go" A wonderful introduction to a band that may have a lot influence but seems to have put the right pieces together to make beautiful electronic music.
