Marshall Mashumaro is Coming!
Marshall Series 1 is a new art toy project produced by a collaboration between Chicago-based product development specialists Squibbles Ink, designer toy store Rotofugi and Michigan-based artists 64 Colors. He has already traveled the world, but his official release in not until this Spring. There is more to come on Marshall, but if you are going to be at Wondercon 2009 (Feb 27th - Mar 1) in San Francisco stop by table 1135 for a sneak peak! As someone addicted to marshmallow the story of Marshall is a little disturbing. Marshall Mashumaro was a little boy who ate so many marshmallows he turned into one! How scary is that? But…he’s just about the cutest little marshmallow boy ever! Sixteen different blind-boxed 3.5-inch tall designs plus three secret chase figures are featured in this great series.

This is a group exhibition featuring work that resists the normal axioms associated with gravity through imagery, process, and metaphor. The exhibition includes painting, drawing, photography, video, sculpture, and prints. Each work requires a suspension of disbelief to allow illogical readings of gravity to fully reveal conceptual content and narratives.
Featuring work from: Jason Robert Bell (interview here), Amy Cutler, John Delk, Adam Ekberg, Lilly McElroy, Angel Otero, Travis LeRoy Southworth
